Major Gifts: Scholarships and Endowments
Perpetuating long term success is possible because of the generous contributions and loyalty shown by private individuals.
Endowments are a generous source of permanent income for UCR Athletics. The money gifted to an endowment is invested, with a percentage of the income growth supporting a specific purpose as directed by the donor(s). The remaining income is reinvested into the endowment, ensuring that the value of the investment grows forever.
Endowments can be set up as scholarships, or can be used for general funding purposes.
Donors are encouraged to name the endowment in a way meaningful to them.
UC Riverside Athletics currently has six endowed funds.
